The two-time PFA Young Footballer of the Year quickly established himself in the world of football and is on his way to even greater success. Born in Milton Keynes, Dele Alli played in the local youth team and improved rapidly until he attracted the attention of Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur in 2015.

After years of playing for the English junior team, Alli was promoted to the national team in 2015. He played in Euro 2016 and was selected as one of 23 players for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Let’s take a look at his private life.

Dele Alli Parents

Dele was born as Bamidele Jermaine Alli on April 11, 1996, in Milton Keynes, England, the son of a Nigerian father named Kehinde and an English mother named Denise. After joining the Spurs in 2015, many first division fans in Nigeria immediately took an interest in him, as his surname comes from the Yoruba tribe in the African country. This would lead to some shocking discoveries about Dele’s grumpy relationship with his parents, both of whom have long been trying to reunite with him.

The original rumor that was circulating (especially in Nigeria) was that Dele had been abandoned by his father and Denise was looking after him, leading him through football star glory. Others also blindly claimed that the reason Kehinde wanted his son back was because of his fame in football and the big money he had begun to earn. However, in an interview conducted by Dele’s parents with The Sunday Mirror 2018, all this was revealed.

For Dele’s parents, it was somehow unplanned to get him. His father Kehinde was in the UK in the 1990s to get his master’s degree at De Montfort University when he met Denise in a nightclub, whereupon they had an affair that culminated in Denise’s pregnancy with Dele. Despite the unexpected pregnancy, they continued their relationship and married soon after. Their marriage, however, was short-lived.

However, when Dele turned 3 years old, his parents separated and Kehinde and Denise maintained a close relationship and continued to invest in Dele’s life and in other children Denise had previously had. Kehinde later moved to Canada to work, but often returned to the UK to look after the needs of Dele and his mother.

When Dele was 8 years old, his father moved with him to Lagos, Nigeria, where Dele was to spend the next year of his life. In Nigeria Dele lived like a king in a 10-room luxury villa, which was served by 3 maids. He also attended one of the most expensive international schools in the city, where the school fees were a whopping £20,000 per year. In their 2018 interview with Sunday Mirror, Dele’s parents revealed many photos as evidence of their eye-opening statements.

In 2006, when Kehinde married his second wife Lola, Dele was his dad’s best man. Dele’s relationship with his parents apparently remained strong until he returned to the UK at the age of 11 to pursue his passion of becoming a footballer. Kehinde told The Sunday Mirror that it was hard for him to let Dele go, but he did not want to be the one standing between his son and his big dreams.

In Britain, Dele began training with City Colts before joining Milton Keynes Dons. He trained 5 days a week and his mother allowed him to move in with a friend who lived nearby out of convenience and he returned home on weekends.

The original rumor that circulated online was that Dele’s mother was an alcoholic and unable to care for her children, but she strongly disproved this claim in the interview, claiming that she gave Dele up for adoption. The adoption rumors came from Dele’s referring to the parents of his friend/colleague Alan and Sally Hickford as his adoptive parents. The fact remains that he was never adopted by them.

Over the years, Dele’s relationship with his parents began to fade, they were not invited to his first professional book signing, and soon he stopped taking their calls. Denise revealed that the last time she saw Dele was in 2015. Since then, she has made several attempts to contact him, including one in White Hart Lane, but all were in vain.

Kehinde, who is a multimillionaire with companies in the oil and gas sector in Nigeria, has attended several games just to get back in touch with his son but has also been unsuccessful.

Despite the deep revelation by Dele’s parents, the football star has been kept quiet about the situation. In the summer of 2016, he applied to have “Alli” removed from his jersey and replaced it with “Dele”, as he did not feel a connection to his family. His parents have expressed nothing but shock at their son’s heartbreaking behavior. The world is waiting for the time when Dele would tell his own side of the story.

Dele Alli Net Worth, Salary

Dele Alli will earn a weekly salary of £60,000 from 2018 for his contributions to Spurs. His £5 million deal, completed in 2015, had a term of five and a half years. It is calculated that his contract with Side would have expired by 2020. Like any other football star, Alli boosts his income with income from sponsorship contracts. His most lucrative partners include Adidas and BT Sport.

The valuation of Alli’s net assets is very difficult at the moment. However, his exact figures will become clearer when he renews his contract with the team or perhaps gets signed by another team. In 2017, Harry Redknapp made a major claim that the midfielder was worth £100 million. Well, time will tell.

Girlfriend

Since the beginning of 2016 Dele Alli is in a relationship with the model Ruby Mae, who is about the same age as him. Mae, who is under contract with the Manchester-based agency Boss Model Management, has worked for brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel, and Hidden Fashion.

Since they were first seen kissing in public right after Euro 2016, the couple has been seen kissing separately at events and dating together.
