Vine was founded in June 2012 and was acquired by Twitter, and an American microblogging website, in October 2012. With the launch of this 6-second social video sharing application, Sara Hopkins began making and uploading vines.

Soon her fan base began to grow and it became really stressful to follow both her social influence and her career as a news anchor. Since Sara already had a fairly large fan base of up to 950,000 vines, she had to make the hard decision to keep one career and leave the other behind. Her family stood up for her and supported her. So she gave up her day job as a journalist/newscaster to become a full-time star in Vine.

This decision opened up many opportunities for her, and the first came shortly after Sara became part of the Niche platform, which was designed for content authors. On this platform, she met Robby Ayala, who was just another Vine star for her. The two had a lot in common as Robby also made the big decision to drop out of law school and become a full-time Viner. Fortunately, things turned out well for him too.

Sara immediately started posting her videos on Snapchat, Instagram, YouTube, Musical.ly, and of course Twitter. She kept her username ‘SayHop’ for all her accounts. Her beloved fans and many more followed her on these platforms, especially on Snapchat, where she quickly gained recognition as a Snapchat star. Sara has a rating of 4.8/5 out of 23 on Snapchat.
