Although he began his career as a singer in 1992, it is his comedy and MC career that has brought him the fame and popularity he is proud of today. He was the lead host of Star Golden Bell, a South Korean variety show that was broadcast on KBS from 2004 to 2010. Although he left the show in 2009, his style of presentation became an almost irreplaceable style.

He is currently known as one of the performers on another South Korean variety show called Running Man. He is one of the oldest members of the show and is often portrayed as the weakest link in the chain, always left out by fans and guests. Other cast members of the show include Lee Kwang-soo, Kim Jong-kook, Song Ji-Hyo, Haha, and Yoo Jae-suk.

As a TV presenter, MC, and comedian Ji Suk Jin hasn’t given up his love for music. Twenty-two years after he discontinued his debut album “I Know”, he released several new singles in 2014. In the same year, he worked with Club Soul to do a duet for the KBS drama “My Dear Cat” and the following year for “Romance for 7 Days”.

He soon released the latter song in both the Korean and Chinese versions. The Chinese version broke through so many borders that it was even received in the Mandarin-speaking regions and landed at number 6 in the Chinese Baidu music charts.

Ji Suk Jin recently became popular through his Chinese song “Fairy Tale”, which he first performed in 2015 at the Running Man Special Live fan meeting in Taipei. It was such an amazing performance that Michael Wong, the original singer of the song, praised him for giving the song a new life. Later, he invited Ji Suk Jin to perform the song with him at his Taipei concert in May 2015.

In 2017 he released a duet he sang with Hong Kong singer Bianca Wu, who invited him to record a new jazz song from a 1998 classic hit duo originally sung by Francesca Kao and Jacky Cheung. The duo also shot the video of the song in Hong Kong and performed it at the annual Hong Kong TVB charity gala.
