The name Meghan Ory may not sound familiar when you think of the heavyweights in the film industry. But gradually she is building up an enviable portfolio. Originally from Canada, the actress is best known for her involvement in the ABC series “Once upon a time”.
She has also worked with several other heavyweight networks such as NBC and Hallmark. So far she has also led a relatively “scandal-free” life.
Meghan Ory Bio
Meghan was born on August 20, 1982, in Victoria, the capital of the Canadian province of British Columbia, as the daughter of her father Nathan Ory, and her mother Bonnie Ory. She also has a sibling, a brother known as Jesse Ory. She attended Royal Oak Middle School and Claremont Secondary School to attend middle school and high school respectively. Meghan’s love of acting was evident at a young age. Her skills had already begun to assert themselves in middle school. This earned her the Fine Arts Award for Acting from her secondary school in 1996.
Her first real appearance as an actress came only three years later, in 1999, on the Fox Family Channel. She played a role in a film called The Darklings, in which she worked alongside Timothy Busfield and Suzanne Sommers. After a guest appearance in another television series, she finally got her first regular appearance. It was in the 2000 Fox Family series Higher Ground, where she played Juliette Waybourne, a troubled and depressed character who was addicted to self-abuse. For this series, she worked with other well-known names like A.J. Cook, Hayden Christensen, and the Smallville actress Anne Marie DeLuise.
After the turn of the millennium, she continued to star in a series of television series with MTV’s 2ge+her and Vampire High in 2000 and 2001, and in the early 2000s, Meghan continued to appear in small-part roles on various projects. She made a guest appearance on James Cameron’s cyberpunk television series Dark Angel starring Jessica Alba. She also starred in the horror/mystery series Glory Days and in movies such as Lucky 7 and National Lampoon’s Thanksgiving Family Reunion.

Meghan Ory’s supporting roles continued until the mid-2000s in series such as Life As We Know It, The Collector, and her participation in the popular series Smallville. Her first big shot came with Decoys, her first feature film. In this film, Meghan plays an alien character, Alex. For the rest of the 2000s, she was involved in other television series as expected, but this time there were several other feature film roles. Series like “Dark House”, “Flash Gordon” and feature films like “John Tucker Must Die” and “My Sister’s Keeper” were made until 2010.
During this time she worked with actress colleagues like Pamela Anderson, Miranda Richardson, and Denise Richards. In 2010 she even appeared in a Keystone beer commercial called “Rescue of Beer”.
From 2011 Meghan was Little Red Riding Hood in the popular series Once Upon a Time upon a Time by ABC. She was one of the main characters in the first two seasons of the series before she had to slow down the series to focus most of her time on her then-new series Intelligence in 2013. After that, she only had guest appearances in the third and fifth episodes of Once Upon a Time.
After working with Hallmark on their miniseries Merlin’s Apprentice in 2006, she renewed their relationship when she appeared in their original series Chesapeake Shores a decade later. In this series, Meghan Ory was a divorced woman with two small children.
Meghan Ory’s Married Life, Husband, and Kids
Meghan’s romantic life is scandal-free. It is true that many actors find love on the set; Meghan’s love story is carved from the same wood. She met John Reardon in 2006 when she played Merlin’s Apprentice on the set of Hallmark’s Apprentice. Obviously, something clicked between the two of them because they started going out together. Two years later, in 2008, their love affair blossomed into a marriage. Meghan and her husband are cut from the same cloth because he is also an actor and comes from Canada. Reardon, who attended the Royal College of Dramatic Arts in London, was also an all-star college football player during his time at Mount Allison University.
He began his career two years after his wife, in 2001, and appeared in his own share of television series and films. These include “White Chicks”, “Scary Movie 4” and of course “Merlin’s Apprentice”. Maybe it’s their hectic work schedule or a personal decision, but whatever the reason, the couple has been together for over a decade and has never produced a child.
