James Blunt is an English singer, songwriter, and record producer, who has become very popular worldwide through his songs like You’re Beautiful. Best known for his soft rock and pop-rock genre, Blunt has been nominated for five Grammy awards in his career to date and has won many others while selling millions of copies worldwide.
James Blunt Bio and Age
Even though his stage name is more popular, the soft rock singer was born James Hillier Blount in England, Tidworth, Hampshire, on February 22, 1974.
For his preparatory training, he attended Elstree School, from where he transferred to Harrow School. Afterward, the singer went to the University of Bristol, where he studied sociology. He also studied as a pilot, following in his father’s footsteps.
After graduating, Blunt went to the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst, where he received military training. As his training was supported by the military scholarship, he had to serve in the military for at least 4 years. He served from 1996 to 2002.
What brought him fame, however, is his career as a musician. He released his first album Back to Bedlam in 2004, which was very successful, reaching number 1 in many charts and selling millions of copies worldwide. After a quite successful career, which is still going on, James Blunt received numerous nominations and awards, including Best New Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards, Q Awards, and the Digital Music Awards in 2005. He was also named Best International Newcomer at the NRJ Music Awards in France in 2006 and at the ECHO Awards.
James Blunt was also nominated for Best New Artist in 2007, with his song You’re Beautiful being nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, while his Back to Bedlam album was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album at the Grammys.

As mentioned above, Blunt grew up with his sisters Daisy Blount and Emily Blount. Although there are many sources claiming that Emily Blunt is his sister, the actress has denied the claim that the two only joked about being siblings. She revealed that she was frustrated by people who asked her if she was the singer’s sister, even after she repeated over and over again that they were not related.

After the various relationships, the Grammy-nominated singer decided to settle down with Sofia Wellesley, with whom he had been dating since 2012 and with whom he got engaged in 2013. Born on 23 July 1983, the singer went to the University of Edinburgh, where she studied at law school.
