Dana Carvey is an American-born actress, stand-up comedienne, author, and producer. He achieved fame as an actor in the late 1980s in the long-running nighttime live TV show Saturday Night Live. The Emmy Award winner is known for his outstanding imitations of personalities in society, especially past and present presidents of the United States. Dana Thomas Carvey was born on 2 June 1955 in Missoula, Montana. His mother Billie Dahl and his father Bud Carvey were both teachers. He is of English, German, Irish, Norwegian and Swedish descent and grew up with 4 siblings, brothers Dana, Mark, and Scott, and sister Lori. The family moved to the San Francisco Bay Area of California when Dana Carvey was a toddler.
