He also worked as a consulting producer for flash frame productions and layer media, a responsibility he held for over two years, culminating in March 2014 and 2015 respectively. Nick’s online entertainment company had been drifting since 2013, but in 2015 he and his co-founding friends decided to devote all their time and effort to it. Nick, Greg Miller, Colin Moriarty, and Tim Gettys were all high-profile IGN editors and producers. Kinda Funny focuses on creating video content around topics such as comedy, television and film, and the video game culture. The other channel “Kinda Funny Games” is the video game arm of the company.
Show and The Somehow Funny Gamescast. In June 2017, Nick and his friends started co-hosting their third podcast. It is a daily live podcast of video game news called Kinda Funny Games Daily, produced for YouTube and Twitch. As a result, they also launched the Kinda Funny Morning Show podcast.
In March 2016, Nick Scarpino and Kinda Funny entered into a partnership with Let’s Play Network, which led to their partnership with Rooster Teeth Productions, also an online entertainment company. Scarpino also participated in the popular PIG game show Achievement by Rooster Teeth.
In addition, to live content on his online platforms, Nick has also appeared in several movies and mini-series such as Not Another Zombie Apocalypse in 2013.

In an episode of the GameOverGregg show on July 21, 2016, Nick tells how he proposed to his wife. He had decided to go broke to buy the perfect ring and came up with the idea that he and his then-fiancée should go on a trip. He booked an expensive hotel and made a dinner reservation. Just as they were getting dressed and about to leave the hotel room, he stopped and watched them for a moment.
