Early Life and Career

Carrie attended Checotah High School, where she graduated as a class president, and then went to Northeastern State University in Oklahoma, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communication. For the first time, she stepped into the limelight as a contestant in the fourth season of the Simon Fuller – American Idol singing competition. In May 2005, she won the competition and received a record deal worth about one million dollars and a Ford Mustang, among other things.

Her first single “Inside Your Heaven” smashed several records on her debut at number 1 of the Billboard Hot 100. With this song, she was the first country musician to debut in the first place of the Billboard Hot 100. The song also made it to #1 on the Canadian singles charts and the Billboard Pop 100, selling nearly 1 million copies.

Underwood did not rest on her oars but set about releasing her debut album – Some Hearts. The album fell on November 15, 2015, and smashed a handful of records in true Carrie Underwood fashion. Some of the singles on the album, including Before He Cheats, Don’t Forget to Remember Me and Jesus, Take the Wheel, made the song a huge success for Carrie. It sold quickly and beyond all expectations; the Recording Industry Association of America had to certify it eight times with platinum.

To date, Carrie Underwood has five studio albums, all of which have been platinum or multi-platinum certified. Each of the albums also earned her the American Music Award as her favorite country album. The star can also brag about having won 7 Grammy Awards. She has also received over 100 major awards.

The organizers of American Idol could never have imagined that the young and talented Underwood, who won in 2005, would become a multimedia superstar and make a name for herself in film and television as well as in music.

Who Is Carrie Underwood Husband?

If you’re interested in hockey, the name Mike Fisher is more familiar. Carrie is married to Mike – a retired Canadian-American professional hockey player who played for the Ottawa Senators and the Nashville Predators in the National Hockey League.

Carrie and Mike developed an interest in each other after they met at one of their concerts sometime in 2008. They became friends, turned into lovers, and became engaged in the last month of 2009. The next year, on July 10th, they became life partners.
