Kathryn’s two daughters – Stella and Ruby and her husband Bryan – were also murdered on the same day.

Steven graduated from First Colonial High School in Virginia, while at school he was voted the “most talented” student. He was then accepted into the College of William and Mary and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature in 1978; on the advice of his college professors, he continued his studies in the United Kingdom at the University of Exeter.
