The arrival of the 45th and current President of the United States of America has caused the popularity of several people. Sean Spicer may have been famous among his peers and colleagues, but he was not known around the world until Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton and emerged as the winner of the 2016 presidential election.

Since Spicer supported Trump from the beginning when he was nominated by the Republicans, and during the scandals, accusations, and the unusual things he was accused of while running against Hillary in the elections, it was no surprise when Donald appointed him Press Secretary of the White House on December 22, 2016.

The surprise came 7 months later, in July 2017, when Spicer decided he had had enough of the position Trump had given him. What happened then? Trump made Anthony Scaramucci, a man whom Spicer obviously does not like very much, director of White House Communications. It is believed that Trump was advised to call in Scaramucci to make up for Spicer’s unsatisfactory performance as Press Secretary.

Apart from the fact that Spicer was increasingly making statements that conflicted with the President’s position, it was believed that he was making himself look ridiculous and embarrassing the administration when he stepped onto the podium. Everyone still believes that he made himself ridiculous in his first role as White House Press Secretary. You will recall that Spicer spoke to journalists who claimed that they underestimated the size of the crowd that showed up for President Trump’s inauguration.

Sean Spicer finally resigned and tweeted that he felt honored and privileged to have served President Trump, who reciprocated the gesture by thanking Sean for his services and wishing him success in finding new opportunities. Three months later, another surprise! For the first time, Spicer spoke out in favor of the need to deal seriously with the allegations of sexual harassment and assault against Mr. Trump.
