Mike Napoli is an American who plays baseball as a profession. Since his debut in 2006, he has been a professional baseball player. Born as Michael Anthony Napoli on October 31, 1981, in Hollywood, Florida. Like most American athletes, Mike played his beloved sport in high school. He attended Charles W. Flanagan High School and played for the Pembroke Pines-based high school team, the Flanagan Falcons. After graduating high school, Mike continued to play on the Louisiana State University baseball team until he graduated with 200 points.

Mike’s stats only improved after he ranked 7th in the RBIs and 9th in the Minor League in general, after scoring 29 home runs and 118 RBIs .282 goals in 2004. He earned his promotion to Arkansas in the Double-A league and saw his stats improve further, finishing second in the league in extra-base hits and fifth in the number of runs he scored.

Major League

After making a good impression in the smaller leagues, Mike Napoli made his debut in Major League Baseball on May 4, 2006, when he played for the Los Angeles Angels from Anaheim, where he met his MLB colleague Detroit Tigers. Mike Napoli became the Los Angeles Angels’ first choice catcher.

In 2007 Mike missed 12 games in the second half of the season due to an ankle injury. After returning to the field, he returned to the handicapped list after 5 games because he had pulled his hamstring.

Mike started his 2008 season as Angel’s catcher of choice, although he often played with Jeff Mathis. And just when he thought his injury worries were over, he developed a shoulder injury that kept him off the court for 28 games. On January 21, 2011, Mike said goodbye to the Los Angeles Angels when he was transferred to the Toronto Blue Jays. Less than a week after his transfer to the Toronto Blue Jays, he signed with the Texas Rangers. In 2012 he was inducted into the All-Star Team.

After only one season with the Texas Rangers, Mike moved to the Boston Red Sox on a $39 million 3-year contract. He was a member of the Red Sox team that won the 2013 World Championship title, becoming the MVP of the tournament.

He then returned to the Texas Rangers, where he spent another season. He then signed with the Cleveland Indians, where he also spent a season before returning to Texas. On November 6, 2017, the Texas Rangers refused to renew Mike Napoli’s contract for the upcoming 2018 season, meaning that he was a free agent.

He is currently under contract with the Cleveland Indians, but under a minor league deal that allows him to play in the minor leagues. However, on April 19 this year, Mike announced that he would miss the rest of the 2018 season due to injury.
