During her time she also had a minor in communication.

After graduating from Cass Technical College in 1989, she got fully involved in modeling but did not make her first major appearance until 1992 at the age of 21. Kenya Moore Biography (Age, Parents, and Family)

The all-around talent Kenya was born in Detroit, Michigan, on January 24, 1971, as the son of Ronald Grant and Patricia Moore (a special education teacher). Her parents were teenagers at the time she was born, and her mother Patricia left her on a whim to be raised by her paternal grandmother, the Late Doris Grant.

Kenya and her parents had an alienated relationship due to the nature of her birth, and although she was closer to her father, he too was absent from her life for many years. Kenya claims that as a child she longed for her mother’s love, and on several occasions, she tried to spread an olive branch, but for some abstruse reason, her mother wanted nothing to do with her.

Given the apparent failure of her Kenyan parents, her grandmother took it upon herself to ensure that Kenya was cared for as well as possible. She encouraged Kenya to be the best she could be and not let the unfortunate circumstances surrounding her birth determine the course of her life. For this reason, Kenya cites the late Mama Doris as her inspiration and has been quoted as saying that she owes much of her current success to the tireless efforts of her Mama Doris.

Modeling Achievements

In 1993, Kenya Moore was the second African-American woman to win the Miss USA beauty pageant, after Carole Anne-Marie Gist won it in 1990. In the same year, 1993, Kenya won Miss Michigan USA (which Carole also won in her day) and placed 4th in the Miss Universe pageant. However, it is important to note that Kenya won Miss Michigan USA before becoming Miss USA, and like Kenya, Carole attended Cass Technical College in Detroit.

Is Kenya Married Or Single? Husband or Boyfriend?

Kenya is married to a businessman and restaurant owner named Marc Daly. The couple was secretly married on June 10, 2017, in a romantic beach setting in St. Lucia, surrounded only by family and close friends. This marriage happened after a secret relationship that lasted for about a year. Some of her co-stars from The Real Housewives of Atlanta have expressed their surprise and disappointment at the secret nature of the relationship and the fact that they were not invited to the wedding. Nevertheless, it is understandable that Kenya wanted to keep their new relationship secret from the public, considering how hostile their last relationship was.

Kenya Moore’s Net worth

It is estimated that Kenya Moore is worth about USD 800,000. It is believed that in 2017 she will have earned a handsome $1 million with the television show The Real Housewives of Atlanta and that she has also earned a reasonable amount of cash with her other ventures so that she can afford a luxuriously furnished 7,200 square foot Atlanta mansion. Her main sources of income are acting and modeling, but we believe that her association with successful businessman Marc Daly will further enhance her already impressive fortune.

Experience, they say, is the best teacher, and since Kenya knows what it is like to be a girl from an underprivileged background, it decided to set up a foundation. The Moore Foundation of Kenya awards scholarships to less privileged girls from the Cass Technical College in Detroit. Their foundation also provides their alma mater with learning materials such as books and computers. She says this is a means of giving something back to society and helping young girls to achieve their goals and ambitions.
