Gharaibeh was born in Amman on 10 October 1983 to Jordanian parents. He lived with his family in Saudi Arabia until they all moved to Florida at the age of four. Finally, he grew up in Ventura County, California.
Career
Kassem G is indeed popular as a YouTube star, but he didn’t start as a YouTuber. Before he gained popularity through his YouTube videos, he worked as a sales rep at Best Buy, doing part-time stand-up comedy on weekends and performing at small gatherings and restaurants.

His YouTube career began after his friend Cory William made a video that went viral. Gharaibeh first began by turning his stand-up comedy sessions into videos and other comedy sketches and uploading them to YouTube.
According to him, he initially uploaded the videos for fun but took them seriously as they gained popularity. As most of his videos spread and generated income, Gharaibeh eventually quit his job and devoted himself entirely to video production.
In 2009, he launched his second YouTube channel KassemGtwo, where he uploads his videos from the AsKassem web series.
By 2010, his YouTube channel KassemG has gained over 1 million subscribers. Launched in 2006, the channel now has over 2.5 million subscribers with an incredible number of over 441 million views.
By 2017, KassemGtwo also has over 35 million views and almost half a million subscribers.
One of his popular videos is the web series California On – in which he interviews people on the street on specific topics in such a humorous way. California On alone attracts just over a million viewers per episode, making it one of his viewers’ favorites.
Besides Califonia On, Going Deep and Street Music are among his other popular videos. In Going Deep, he interviews porn stars while he and another YouTube star, NicePeter, go out onto the streets to sing street ballads to the people around them, commenting on what they see and capturing people’s reactions and expressions.
In 2009 Kassem Gharaibeh founded the Maker Studios together with Shay Butler and Lisa Donovan. The company became a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company in December 2015 after accepting a $500 million takeover bid from the production company.
Kassem Ghosted the popular web series Equals Three and also starred in the YouTube movie Agents of Secret Stuff. He also appeared six times in the cannabis culture-focused podcast Getting Doug with High. The YouTuber beat out nominees, including Larry King, to win the 2013 Streamy Award for Best Presenter.
After the Makers Studios were sold, Kassem uploaded only 10 new videos in three years, losing some of its subscribers. But in March 2017, he came back and uploaded his first new video after several months of being offline.
The video was an improvised talk show called Kassem LiveShow, which lasted almost an hour. Since then, his station has uploaded a new video once a week.
The story that got around during his offline period was that he went offline to spend the money he had made from selling the Maker Studios and turned back to video production because he had spent all the money. In response, Gharaibeh said that he was still very, very rich and that now was the best time to start making videos again.
