Lingard, whose full name is Jesse Ellis Lingard, was born on December 15, 1992, in Warrington, Cheshire. He attended Beamont Primary School in Warrington, where he played both rugby and football but was prevented by his grandfather from continuing with the former. During this time Lingard honed his footballing skills and continued to enroll at the Penketh United Academy where he continued his path to professional football.

When he was seven years old, Lingard joined the Manchester United Youth Academy, where he rose through the ranks. He also attended William Beamont Community High School. Lingard is said to have made an immediate impression on all his coaches, despite being so small and barely able to speak. At the time he was part of the Manchester United team that won the 2010/11 FA Youth Cup together with Paul Pogba, which earned him his first professional contract with United.
His first entry into the senior squad on matchday was a quarter-final match of the League Cup against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford in November 2011, and Lingard was an unused substitute in that match, as he was also back for his second outing with the senior team. The following season he was sent on loan to Leicester City to organize the much-needed first-team action. In the 2013-14 season, he was loaned out again, first to Birmingham City and then to Brighton & Hove Albion.
At that time, Jesse Lingard had hoped that he was worthy of a chance to show the Old Trafford faithful what had been made of him. His chance with the first team was duly rewarded when he made his competitive debut against Swansea in the 2014-15 season opener. However, the young lad was replaced after only 24 minutes due to an injury. After several months on the sidelines, Lingard joined Derby County on loan.

Not much is known about the parents of Jesse Lingard – his mother Kirsty, a former gymnast, and his father Roy George, a former semi-professional footballer – as they stay out of the limelight. What is known, however, is that his parents ended their marriage shortly after greeting Lingard.
Regardless of what Lingard may personally feel against either parent, he remains close to both of them. Even more so to his paternal grandparents, Isolyn and Cyril George, who are originally from the Caribbean island of St. Vincent’s. His grandparents live on the outskirts of Warrington, and Lingard always takes time to visit and spend time with them.

Like any other young athlete who has a lot of money in the bank and a lot of time on his hands, Jesse Lingard succumbed to a side attraction that eventually led to the end of his 15-month relationship with his American model girlfriend Jena Frumes.
Lingard and Frumes reportedly met at a party in Los Angeles during his club’s pre-season tour of the country. What at first looked like an affair quickly turned into a full-fledged relationship when the couple was spotted again on a romantic weekend in Barcelona and then in and around Manchester. Like everyone else who owns a smartphone these days, the couple quickly shared images of themselves on social media, attracting media attention.
