He was born on January 2 1975 in Highland Michigan suburban Detroit as Dax Randall Shepard. He has an older brother David Shepard who lives in Oregon and a younger half-sister Carly Hatter whom he cast in his movie Hit and Run 2012.

He has also done quite well and graduated from UCLA with a magna cum laude degree in Anthropology.

As flattering and honorable as it was Dax had to go back so he went to Twitter to say ‘I’m really flattered to be called @IMKristenBell the ‘Sexiest Vegetarian’ but unfortunately I can’t accept in good conscience because I eat chicken.
PETA however was generally not deterred Shepard and Bell must have really appealed to them.
