On December 14, 2017, Zoe Dowdell who was 20 years old and lived in Bloomfield died. He was a loving brother to Zayda Dowdell and the cherished son of Sherene Fagon and Shawn Dowdell.
Zoe was born in Norfolk Virginia on July 9, 1997. Later they moved to Connecticut with their family and lived in Bloomfield for most of their life.
In addition to going to Bloomfield Public Schools Zoë played football for the Bloomfield Raiders. He really enjoyed music and dancing and spending time with his family and friends.
He liked making people laugh and having a good time. Everyone he met liked him because he was always in a good mood had a nice personality and was very polite.

Zoe Dowdell Death: Rapper Shot To Death
In 2017 a police officer shot and killed 20-year-old Zoe Dowdell.
The authorities suspected that Zoe Dowdell and two teenagers were involved in some violent car thefts. They had tried to steal cars in New Britain before the shooting that took Zoe’s life.
On the evening of December 14, 2017, the Police tried to stop the car that Dowdell was in with two teenagers.
Videos from a dashboard camera showed that Dowdell and the teens drove onto the sidewalk hit some cars that looked like they belonged to the Police and then drove
After a 13-month investigation, it was discovered that the police had fired 28 shots at the car. The other two teenagers were injured but survived and they were accused of robbery.
The autopsy report showed that Dowdell was shot four times: in the neck both legs and the back of the skull. The New Britain Herald reported that he was declared dead at the hospital that evening.
Authorities said they found two guns in the car even though they weren’t used in the shooting.
Who Killed Rapper Zoe Dowdell?
On December 14, 2017, five New Britain Police officers (Marcin Ratajczak Christopher Kiely Michael Slavin Chad Nelson, and Kyle Jones) shot at a car full of teenagers. 20-year-old Zoe Dowdell was killed and two other teenagers were injured.

Reports said that shooting two of the officers was legal because they might have been afraid for their lives as the suspect’s car came towards them.
The other three officers were acquitted because they thought shooting at the car would stop the suspects from escaping and keep the public safe.
For the past year, all five officers involved in the shooting have been on restricted duty.
The ACLU of Connecticut asked New Britain and the Connecticut State Police to give Shawn Dowdell all the records and information about Zoe Dowdell’s death caused by New Britain Police and the events leading up to it.
The New Britain Police Department refused the Connecticut ACLU of Connecticut’s request for records and information such as 911 dispatch logs and recordings and the Connecticut State Police did not respond.
The Fairfield State’s Attorney released information to the public after the Connecticut Freedom of Information Commission (FOIC) rejected a proposed decision from the FOIC hearing officer. The New Britain Police also gave information to the client in January 2019 over a year after they shot and killed Zoe Dowdell.
Police work should be done with the protection of democracy and the Constitution and should not be done without public knowledge.
The public needs full transparency when Police shoot and kill someone at the very least.
