The Dinamo board initially refused to release Tin Jedvaj to Roma, but in July 2013 it was confirmed that the defender had signed with the Italian team. He made his debut for the club in December 2013, when he was called up as a substitute in the 83rd minute of a match against Genoa. The game ended with a 4-0 win. He also made his debut against Genoa, but this time it was in the last round of Serie A and unfortunately, they lost the match against Genoa.

These were the only two appearances by Jedvaj in the entire 2013-14 season, as he was put on the bench 33 times. In June 2014, German football club Bayer Leverkusen announced that they had reached an agreement with all parties involved to accept Jedvaj on loan until the end of the 2015-16 season.

In his debut for Bayer, the club’s first official game of the season, Tin played Alemannia Waldalgesheim every 90 minutes. The game ended with a 6-0 win. About a week later he made his UEFA Champions League debut with the German team. He was substituted for Giulio Donati in the 46th minute and the game also ended with a 2-3 away win over Copenhagen.

Tin Jedvaj then made his Bundesliga debut in a match against Borussia Dortmund. He scored his first goal for the club in the second game of the season against Hertha BSC. His goal, scored in the 50th minute, was Bayer’s first goal in the game, which finally ended in a 4-2 home win. This was followed by a powerfully swung goal, which he scored in a game against Werder Bremen and took a 1-0 lead. Later, Jedvaj helped Son Heung-min to the goal that made the game a 3-3 draw.

In January 2015, Bayer Leverkusen announced that Tin Jedvaj of Roma will be employed permanently by Bayer Leverkusen and that the contract will keep the defender on the German side until 2020. Unfortunately, Jedvaj only played once for the German team in the first half of the 2015/16 season due to multiple injuries. His only appearance was in a game against Hamburger SV, and his next appearance would be in October 2016, in a game against VfL Wolfsburg, where he scored the winning goal that ended the game 2-1.
