Kansas-born center lineman Cody Whitehair is a member of the Chicago Bears of the NFL. He was expected to be on the starting line-up for the team when he was drafted, but eventually, he filled the position of center lineman for the first time in his rookie career and received much applause for his outstanding performance in his rookie season.

Cody Michael Whitehair was born on July 11, 1992, in Abilene, Kansas, as Cody Michael Whitehair and attended Abilene High School. He was a letter winner for four years and a two-way lineman (played both offense and defense) for the Cowboys soccer team. During his senior season, Cody had 140 pancake blocks and took a total of 81 tackles (41 solos, 40 assisted) with 15 bags and was appointed to the All-Midlands Regional Team of PrepStar magazine. He was also honored by the KFBCA (Kansas Football Coaches Association) and Varsity Kansas with the All-Kansas 4A award and was instrumental in helping the Cowboys set 31-11 records in four seasons.

The Center Lineman grew up on a farm in Abilene, where he worked long hours as a young boy. As a result, his smart, tough, and dedicated approach to working for his game is well defined.

He played his college career at the Kansas State University Wildcats, where he played 51 of 52 games over four seasons, including 26 starts with the left tackle, 22 with the left guard, and three with the right tackle, a true sign of his versatility. On his professional debut in September 2016, he snatched the football from Jay Cutler, who acted as a quarterback and blocked veteran Vince Wilfork. In addition, his elite performance paved the way for Jordan Howard, also a rookie at 1,313 stormy yards, who finished second in the NFL and helped the Bears become the third most frequent passing yard in the franchise’s history.
