An actor’s ability to accurately bring the character he portrays to life is what sets the best in the business apart. There are usually numerous cases where an actor has been typecast based on his or her ability to bring a role to life. This happens with stereotyped roles in most cases, but there are also other cases where the actor gets just that particular role because he has performed it perfectly in the past. This is exactly the case with Fairuza Balk, who is considered by many film viewers to be a real-life witch because of her credible portrayal of dark and edgy roles over the years.

In addition to her perfect, dark, and edgy roles in films such as The Worst Witch and The Craft in the 80s and 90s, Fairuza Balk has also impressed many as a musician and narrator. Recently, however, not much has been heard of the actress, who comes from a family of freethinking artists.

Fairuza Balk was born as Fairuza Alejandra Feldthouse on May 21, 1974, in Point Reyes, California. Her parents are her father Solomon Feldthouse, who is of Romani and Cherokee descent, and her mother Cathryn Falk, who is of Irish and French descent.
