He spent most of September 2006 playing in Kevin Mandel’s A New Television Arrives Finally. He played the title role in the work shown at Theatre 54 in New York.

Pelphrey was back on stage at various times, including 2010 for In God’s Hat at Peter Jay Sharp Theater, 2012 for End of the Rainbow, and 2015 for Fool for Love.
