Todd Frazier is a US-born professional baseball player who plays the third baseman for the New York Mets in the Major League. He played college baseball for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, then was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2007 MLB Draft. After eight years with the Reds, Frazier played for the Chicago White Sox, the New York Yankees, before joining the New York Mets in 2018.

The baseball player was born on February 12, 1986, in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. He was named Todd Brian Frazier at birth and grew up with 2 older brothers in Toms River, New Jersey. He completed his high school education at Toms River High School South, where he was a member of the baseball team.

As a young player, he was a member of the East American All-Star Team of the Toms River Little League. During his time on the team, he won the State Championship of New Jersey in 1998 as well as the Eastern Region Championship. The team rose to the Little League World Series in 1998 and remained invincible throughout the tournament. Frazier was the star of the title game when he took the lead with a 4-4 home win and was also the winning pitcher.

Todd Frazier received his college education at Rutgers University, where he played for the school’s Rutgers Scarlet Knights. At Rutgers University, Frazier set records for home runs (87), walks (62), doubles (24), and total bases (187). He also received the 2007 Big East Player of the Year award. Todd Frazier participated in the 2007 MLB draft where he was selected by the Cincinnati Reds.

In his first 3 years, Todd Frazier played for the farm teams of the Cincinnati Reds. After the 2010 season, he was added to the Reds’ 40-man list, but in May 2011 he was finally called up to the Major League for the first time. In his first full season with the Reds, Frazier hit .273, 19 home runs, and 67 runs in RBIs. In November 2012, he received the National League Outstanding Rookie Award from the MLB Players Association. In 2014, he was nominated for the MLB All-Star Game 2014 as a reserve for the National League team. He was also selected for the 2014 Home Run Derby but lost to Yoenis Céspedes of Oakland Athletics. He finished the 2016 season with a batting average of 0.207 with 16 home runs and 44 RBIs. Frazier was transferred to the New York Yankees in July 2017.

On July 26, 2017, Todd Frazier hit his first home run against his former team – the Cincinnati Reds. He ended the season with a combined batting average of 0.213 for both the Cox and Yankees, including 26 home runs and 77 RBIs. In February 2018, Frazier transferred to the New York Mets after nearly a year with the Yankees.

Todd Frazier is currently married to Jacquelyn “Jackie” Frazier (née Verdon). The MLB-star met his wife while studying at Rutgers University. Jackie was also an athlete because she was a star gymnast. They dated for a while before they got engaged on November 18, 2011, during a vacation in Mexico. The couple sealed the marriage in a ceremony at the Presbyterian Church of Toms River, New Jersey, on December 14, 2012.

The Fraziers have 2 children, a son, and a daughter. The couple welcomed their son Blake in March 2014 and their daughter Kylie Kimberly in December 2015. Frazier spends his off-season in his hometown of Toms River, where the Little League field is named after him.

At the Cincinnati Reds, Todd Frazier earned $527,500 and $600,000 in salary in 2013 and 2014, respectively. In 2015, his salary was raised to a whopping $4.5 million. Frazier’s salary continued to rise after he joined the Chicago Sox in December 2015. At the Sox he earned $8,250,000 in 2016 and $12,000,000 in 2016 and 2016.

On December 1, 2012, the Toms River Little League inside the batting range was renamed after the Fraziers. The field is now known as the Frazier Field House in recognition of the Fraziers’ contributions that have put Toms River on the baseball map.
