We know them as half of the famous identical twins who gained a lot of popularity as teenagers in the 1990s in the sitcom Sister, Sister, Sister. Tia Mowry played the character, Tia Landry, while her twin sister Tamera Mowry appeared in real life as Tamera Campbell. Tia’s Early Life, Parents
Tia Dashon Mowry was born on 6 July 1978 in Gelnhausen, Hessen (West Germany). Her father, who was in the military, was stationed in Germany when Tia and her twin were born. The family eventually moved back to the USA and lived in Fort Hood, Texas.
Tia Mowry’s parents are Darlene Renée Mowry (née Flowers) and Timothy John Mowry. Her father is Caucasian of Irish descent. Her mother is African American, originally from the Bahamas. Both parents joined the US Army and achieved the rank of NCO.
