He was born on 18 December 1980 in Durham England as Neil Fingleton and unfortunately died on 25 February 2017. Although he was born in Great Britain he decided to attend high school in America after attending a basketball camp in Connecticut at the age of 16. As it was natural for someone of his unique size Fingleton took basketball as a career path since high school and even after college but had to retire in 2007 due to an injury.

The star’s family is quite tall; his mother and father are both 6 feet, his older sister stands at 6 feet 3 inches, and his younger brother towers at a height of 6 feet 8 inches. It appears that the great-grandfather was also an impressive figure measuring in at the same height as the younger brother.

Neil was renowned as one of the greatest men in Britain, standing at an impressive 7 feet 7 inches, and listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as one of the 25 tallest people on Earth. Despite his remarkable stature, Neil never allowed himself to be affected by it; he remained level-headed and humble throughout his life.

After a sports injury, the British star decided to step in with two feet and pursue a full-blown acting career. The actor is said to have died of heart failure here are a few things we know for sure; he left too early and will be missed by his family friends and fans.

At 7 feet and 7 inches, the star was certainly a giant amongst men and earned him the title of one of Britain’s, Europe’s, and even the world’s greatest non-giants. His stature alone made him one of the 25 most notable people in history – an accolade that has been rarely surpassed.

The tragic reality of this situation is that the very thing which made him unique and special could have been a contributing factor to his demise. It was speculated that his heart had to work extra hard in order to pump blood up from its resting place in the chest all the way up through his brain and down into his feet, creating an immense strain on it.

It is not unusual for this to happen; here is another case where a really great person had a short-lived existence. Zeng Jinlian from China was the greatest woman in history and she stood at 8 feet 1 unfortunately she died in 1982 at the age of 17.

At an impressive 7’7″, Neil Fingleton was one of the tallest people in Hollywood. Although there is no longer any doubt about his height, few celebrities can claim to be as tall as him. The shortlist includes Argentinian wrestler Jorge González, Sudanese basketball player Manute Bol and Romanian-born basketball player Gheorghe Muresan – all of whom share Neil’s towering stature.

Nobody has to tell you that the star was all on the heavy side as big as it was it would be strange if it wasn’t heavy. When it was born the star weighed almost 7 kilograms at birth compared to the usual average weight of 4 kilograms so one can only assume that it was meant to be huge.

Neil weighed 168 kilograms and as already mentioned this is no surprise at all. There is nothing about his diet and training routine but we can assume that the star who was a former athlete did his best to take care of himself. Too bad nature had to take its toll and kidnapped him so quickly.
