She is an Israeli citizen of Moroccan descent, born in Herzliya. Her religion is Orthodox Judaism. She went to school in Hod Hasharon, Isreal, and also studied at Sha’arei Mishpat College in Hod Hasharon, where she graduated with a deep interest in studying psychobiology (the study of the relationship between mind and body).
This prompted her to come to California for university education, and by 2005 she was admitted to the University of California in Los Angeles, where she graduated in 2015 with a BS MD in Psychobiology/Behavioral Sciences, Medicine from the University.
During her medical studies, she worked as a Clinical Skills Instructor, while she was affiliated with Kaiser Foundation Hospital during her residency and later did a student research project at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
Her passion is bioethics, which led her to create the DGSOM UCLA Ethics Symposium, which has become an annual event. An accomplished academic, Mor has written several publications in the areas of women’s health, behavioral health, and resident education. It may interest you to know that while she was doing all this, little or nothing was known about her. Nonetheless, her marriage to Ben Shapiro soon sparked people’s interest in finding out who she was.
Mor Toledano is said to work as a general practitioner at Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills Medical Center.

Her Relationship with Ben Shapiro
Mor Toledano and Ben Shapiro were together for several years before they got engaged in 2007. Their engagement lasted almost a year and they married in 2008 in Acre, Israel, in a traditional Jewish marriage style.
The couple now began their life as husband and wife in the USA. In 2014 the first child of the marriage was born – Leeya Eliana Shapiro. However, she had a congenital heart defect in the form of an atrial septum defect. The defect was later corrected with open heart surgery in 2015 at the Children’s Hospital in L.A., and the baby survived.
The year 2016 saw the birth of her second child, a boy whose birth was announced by Ben on Twitter. The boy’s name is not yet known and no further information about him has been revealed. However, it is generally believed that he was born healthy.
