According to the magazine, Tyga left his on-again, off-again girlfriend Kylie Jenner “heartbroken” by texting the girl he met on Instagram.
To contest the magazine’s innuendo, Molly O’malia held a media conference at the New York press conference with her lawyer Gloria Allred to present her side of the story. She accused the magazine of invading her privacy and of not consulting with her mother or father before publishing such a report. Tyga’s Lawyer admits the rapper had several phone conversations with the then 14-year-old model, but he said it was just to explore her musical talent after his team became interested in signing her as a singer. O’Malia, on the other hand, pointed out that the rapper first contacted her on Instagram. She said Tyga never raised discussions about her music in the two different messages she had, which seemed uncomfortable and unpleasant for her. So she stopped reacting to him.
Molly’s mother, Anne Lowry O’Malia expressed concern and said it was inappropriate for a grown man to communicate with her 14-year-old daughter, asking for her phone number and when she was coming to Los Angeles. Then again, screenshots received by TMZ show that Tyga has finally asked her about her music. O’Malia also told the rapper that she was 17 and not 14 years old.
Suffice it to say that the incident suddenly brought Molly O’Malia into the spotlight at such a young age with curious fans shadowing her on social media. But that wasn’t all, because the pretty teenage girl lied about her age again, this time to another popular rapper, Bobo Norco. In a video released on YouTube in 2016, Norco claimed to have heard of the up-and-coming model and showed screenshots of her lying about her age.
