Before that, she had worked for several other television stations. Her career as a television news personality began modestly in 1999 when she worked as a photographer and reporter for WDTV in Bridgeport, West Virginia. From 2000-2002, Molly worked as a presenter/reporter for WXXA (Channel 23) in Albany, New York. From there she moved to WFXT (Channel 25) in Boston, Massachusetts, where she worked as a presenter/reporter from 2002-2005. This is where her fame began to grow.
The talented and hard-working reporter covered the popular story and conviction of Richard Reid, a British terrorist and suicide bomber known as the Shoe Bomber. Reid had explosives in his shoe and on December 22, 2001, he attempted to blow up an American Airlines plane (Flight 63) flying from Paris to Miami.
