Born in Missouri and raised in Houston, the actor has won several coveted awards, including the 2015 Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor – Series, Mini-series, or TV movie – for his role in The Normal Heart.

One part of his acceptance speech said

“I would really like to thank my wonderful family in particular: Simon, Kit, Walker, Henry. Thank you for teaching me what unconditional love is. You will always be my proudest achievement. God bless you.”

Talking to OUT magazine about how he felt about his husband’s trip, Simon Halls said

“I was in the audience, and I didn’t think anymore when it was very sweet. I was proud that my husband received an award up there, and I was touched that he thanked us.

Bomer told Details Magazine 2014 that he married Halls in 2011. He also told this source that there was a time when he had romantic relationships with girls.

“At that time I was clueless and obvious about my sexuality in a different place,” Bomer said with reference to his time in high school. “I had romantic relationships with girls – whatever that means – when I was 14. And that completely shook my world… It’s just an amazing call to arms.”

Bomer spoke to OUT magazine in 2014 about his marriage to Halls. He said;

“It was very cool. Very small – just our neighbors and loved ones. There is a certainty, a validity, to know that it is legal. It’s hard to put it into words. It’s just a feeling, I think – something when you make vows in front of the people around you who love and support you. I think it was good for our family.”

Matt Bomer Husband – Simon Halls

Bomer’s husband Simons Halls was born on January 12, 1964, and is of Canadian descent. He is a powerful man in Hollywood behind the scenes, where he works as a publicist.

Halls graduated from the University of Southern California in 1985 according to his LinkedIn profile. He attended the Crescent School in Toronto. According to his USC Annenberg bio, Halls began his PR career at Warner Bros. His next job took him to Russia, where he worked for two years as PR manager for the country’s first McDonald’s restaurant before returning to the United States.

In the USA, Halls quickly got a job as an account manager at BWR Public Relations. At SWR, Halls managed the advertising campaigns of stars such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Annette Bening, Jude Law, and others.

Together with his partners, Halls founded the boutique agency Huvane Baum Hall in 1995. The company quickly became one of the most successful in Hollywood. Its success even attracted the giants of Madison Avenue. The company was sold to the Interpublic Group in 2001.

Simons and his partners then merged their agency with PMK to form PMK/HBH Public Relations. He became the CEO of the new merger. Under Hall’s guidance, the agency had an average annual turnover of $15 million. He led the Oscar campaign for films like Gladiator, American Beauty, Hidden Dragon, and others.

In 2010 Simon and his partners parted ways with the merger and founded SLATE PR. The agency now has over 450 clients, including Ryan Murphy, Ridley Scott, and others. SLATE has received at least 54 Academy Awards and 200 Emmy nominations.

Sources say Simon met Matt while working as a PR manager, but Matt has confirmed that Simon does not manage his business interests.

In an interview with the 2015 Hollywood Reporter, he said

“Like any partner in any relationship, I seek advice, but I have my own publicist. We have three children under 10, so we don’t have time to talk about [the work]. We are more concerned with making sure that lunch is prepared and everyone gets to school on time.”

Simon Hall is 6 feet 2 inches tall (1.88 m).

Matt and Simon have three sons together, all born through surrogacy. The first child, Kit, was born in 2005. The other two are twins Walker and Henry, born in 2008.
