Liam Neeson’s Wife

This is a real tragedy, since Liam Neeson’s wife, Natasha Richardson, passed away on March 18, 2009. Their love story began when they played side by side in Anna Christie’s rebirth in 1993 in what was then the Criterion Center.

She had just finished her divorce from producer Robert Fox and he was still single in every sense of the word. According to the Daily News, the duo’s chemistry electrified the stage thrilled critics, and earned them Tony nominations. Shortly afterward rumors began to spread that the two were together.

She was not discouraged either by the fact that Neeson was a renowned ladies’ man I am happy that women fall in love with him because I know why. It was after the actor filmed Schindler’s List that he finally reconnected with Natasha and on the first Sunday in July 1994 they called guests to attend their wedding at their rural retreat in northern New York State.

During their marriage, Liam Neeson and his wife were not the only victims of fatal accidents. In 2000, while riding his 1989 Harley-Davidson near their country home, a deer jumped in front of him resulting in serious injury for Neeson. Fortunately, he was able to recover from these injuries and even went on to star in the 2001 film Gangs of New York.

The couple had a wonderful and fulfilling life together and it was too short on March 18 2009 when Natasha lost her life following an epidural hematoma after a skiing accident in Quebec Canada. Neeson had to assume the heavy responsibility of “unplugging the plug”.

The couple had made a pact if one of us got into a vegetative state and disconnected it. She was in the presence of close friends and family when the act was finally carried out. It was a pretty tough route for Neeson after that he fought against alcoholism but he finally got away with it.

Last year Taken’s star admitted that he was in a new relationship and that he was incredibly happy but the identity of his new love has not yet been revealed. We wish him the best of luck.

Liam Neeson’s Sons

Liam and Natasha had two sons together Michael and Daniel Neeson. Both were relatively young when their mother died but old enough to feel the grief that followed. Michael was born on June 22, 1995 (21) and his brother Daniel was born one year later on August 27, 1996 (20).

Daniel, at only 13 years old, has a strong desire to remain out of the public eye. This is in contrast to his elder brother Michael who is beginning to take on more responsibilities in line with their parents. Despite this difference between them, Daniel recently opened up about grieving the loss of his mother – a difficult ordeal for any person at such an age.

He told the Sunday Times: “I went out, I partied a lot, I was looking for fulfillment. I wanted to be the man who was using drugs, everyone said, “This kid lost his mother, that’s where the problem comes from. And I said, “No, it’s not, I just like to party. But when I think about it, I realize it was a delayed reaction’.

It was in 2014 that he finally reached the point where he had to ask for help so he enrolled in detox and it has been a little easier since then. Michael obviously wants to take over the family business but his father Liam is not very enthusiastic he said “Please can you just be a farmer or a bartender or something like that?

Liam Neeson may have initially disapproved of his son’s decision to pursue an acting career, but he ultimately could not stop it due to the fact that they even starred in an advertisement together. Although Liam does not have any other children, he believes his late mother would have supported this choice.
