Ki Hong Lee Age and Early Life
The renowned Korean-American actor cum speaker was born on September 30, 1986, in Seoul, South Korea, to South Korean parents. When Ki was six years old, his family moved to Auckland, New Zealand, which gave him the opportunity to learn and speak the English language.
Two years after moving to New Zealand, just when Ki turned eight, his family had to move again, but this time to Los Angeles, California.

While he was in the process of completing his secondary school education, Ki was very active in church parodies where he performed in many plays. His role in the church plays really sparked his interest in the acting profession. After finishing high school, he went to the University of California Berkeley where he studied psychology.
During Ki’s time at the university, he actively participated in Chapter Liberty in North Korea and did his internship at their headquarters. Ki graduated in 2008 and worked in a restaurant owned by his parents in Little Tokyo while pursuing an acting career.
2010 was a good year for Ki Hong Lee, he appeared in many TV series such as The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Victorious and Modern Family. The aspiring actor was also active as a stage actor. He had his first appearance on stage in 2011, when he appeared in the play Wrinkles as Jason. He also appeared in 2011 in a short film entitled All in All.
Ki Hong Lee’s groundbreaking role, however, did not come until 2014, when he starred in an American neo-noir dystopian science fiction action thriller called The Maze Runner, with the upcoming actor playing the role of Minho in the film.
