Read on to learn more about his biography, his NFL career, and his body statistics, which are an integral part of any player profile in football.

Kevin Hogan Biography

The player of Burgundy and Gold was named Kevin Michael Hogan after he was born on October 20, 1992, in McLean, Virginia, the son of Jerry (father) and Donna (mother) Hogan. In his family are his older brother and sister Brian and Kelly.

Kevin Hogan was enrolled at the much-loved Jesuit Boys’ High School and later at Gonzaga College High School in Washington where he began to play more determined and tactical football for the Eagles American football team. The boy was quite good when he was twice named to the All-Washington Catholic Athletic Conference First Team selection in his junior year, and similarly, after his senior year, he was named Outstanding High School Player of the Year 2010 for Private Schools by the Fairfax County Football Hall of Fame, as well as receiving the D.C. Player of the Year award and being named to the Washington Post First Team All-Met 2010 list.

After high school, Kevin entered Stanford University in 2012 and, as expected, became a better footballer as he trained and played with his Stanford Cardinals teammates. He played exceptionally well in his first games of the season, for which he was named starting quarterback for the Cardinals. By the end of his first college soccer season, Hogan had 263 glorious yards, the seventh-highest score in the school’s history for a Stanford quarterback.

In his second season (2013) he scored 2,630 passing yards with 20 touchdowns in passing, two stormy touchdowns, and 10 memorable interceptions. The 2014 season followed in a similar vein with some increases and decreases in his stats: 2,792 passing yards with 19 passing touchdowns, five rush touchdowns, and eight interceptions. In his last college football season, he scored 2,867 passing yards and 27 touchdowns, with 336 yards and 6 touchdowns, all of which were good enough to keep the NFL teams interested in him.

Kevin Hogan NFL Career

The Kansas City Chiefs brought Kevin Hogan to the NFL as the 162nd overall candidate in the 5th round of the 2016 NFL Draft. However, they released him on September 3, 2016, about five months after they signed the guy, and the Cleveland Browns subsequently called in his services.

Kevin Hogan made his NFL debut with the Cleveland Browns on October 23, 2016, against the Cincinnati Bengals. However, he didn’t see much play for the rest of the season, as the team’s starting quarterback, Cody Kessler, was used in most matches of the season.

In the 2017 season, his second professional season in the NFL, Kevin was the preferred replacement for DeShone Kizer. However, after a series of injuries that DeShone suffered, Hogan was given responsibility for Brown’s quarterback, which he played in several games before Kizer was renamed to the teams that started in the QB. Before giving in for DeShone, Hogan suffered a rib injury that put him on the inactive list for the last three games of the season.

After a massive cleanup of Cleveland Brown’s quarterbacks by the management of the team that had already sent DeShone Kizer to the Green Bay Packers and Cody Kessler to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Kevin Hogan was the next in line to be fired from the team. It should be remembered that the Browns lost most of their games in the 2017 season, so the reason for the quarterback’s overhaul should be well understood and not misunderstood.

The Washington Redskins then acquired Kevin Hogan from the Cleveland Browns in exchange for a 6th selection round in the 2018 NFL Draft. Since Kevin now plays a lot at home, a lot is expected of him this season, and as long as he plays for the Redskins and since he had already revealed that it is a dream come true for him to play for the Washington Redskins, we are all sure that we can expect an impressive performance from him.
