Back in 2012, it didn’t seem like Justin Tucker was going to make a difference in the NFL. That assumption was supported by the fact that he was passed on by every NFL franchise involved in the 2012 NFL Draft. However, he was picked up by the Baltimore Ravens after the exercise as an undeveloped agent and the rest is, as they say, history.
Tucker is a place-kicker for the Ravens, and since he joined the team, he’s stepped into the limelight. In 2016, the Ravens signed an improved contract with him, making him the second-highest-paid placekicker in the league. And why wouldn’t they do that? Since 2017, Justin has had the highest field goal accuracy of any placekicker in NFL history.

Justin Tucker’s Biography
Justin Paul Tucker was born on November 21, 1989, in Houston, Texas, the son of Paul and Michelle Tucker. His soccer career began in high school. While at Westlake High School in Austin, Texas, he played for the school’s football team and had teammates like the now popular Nick Foles, who plays quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Justin moved to the University of Texas, where he played a major role in the long-standing football rivalry between the University of Texas and Texas A&M University. He was also one of the players selected for the 2008 edition of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. During his time at the university, he studied music as a major and graduated with a diploma in recording technology.
Career Begining
Justin Tucker submitted his entry for the 2012 NFL Draft, which took place April 26-28, but all 32 teams in the NFL overlooked the talents of young talent. A month later, on May 29, 2012, the Baltimore Ravens decided to add the Texan to their list. The original plan for Justin’s signing was to play second fiddle to veteran fielder Billy Cundiff, but Justin had other plans. After consistent and impressive substitutions at training camp and in the team’s pre-season games, he usurped Billy as the team’s starter on his position. That position was consolidated when Cundiff’s contract with the Ravens was terminated just three months after Justin joined the team.
Who is His Wife?

Justin met his wife Amanda Bass when they were both in college. They dated for a few years before the Ravens player proposed in 2013. It was an elaborate affair in a fluffy four-season hotel in Inner Harbor, Baltimore, Maryland. Two years later, in March 2015, Tucker and his fiancée made it official. On May 10, 2016, they welcomed their first child, a boy named Easton Hayes.

He proved to be a very efficient kicker, achieving a success rate of 91.43 percent in his field-goal attempts and scoring all 42 of his PAT attempts. Tucker and his teammates were tirelessly successful when the wild card won his first Super Bowl ring in his rookie season.
Justin Tucker’s outstanding performances in the placekicking continued into the 2013 season. The place-kicker proved that he knows how to stand up for his team when the going gets tough. He scored five field goals and led the raves on Thanksgiving Day to a 22:20 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. On December 16, 2016, he scored the franchise’s top six field goals against the Detroit Lions in a game against the Detroit Lions. These included a 61-yard field goal screamer that brought the game and victory to a close. His field goals were the only points for the Ravens in the 18-16 win. He was voted 1st Team All-Pro and was named his first Pro Bowl at the end of the 2013 campaign.
Until 2016, Justin was an indispensable part of the team. This led to the team putting a franchise tag on the field kicker to prevent him from becoming an unrestricted free agent. This brought an additional $4.5 million into Justin’s coffers, and on July 15, 2016, the team officially signed an improved four-year $16.8 million contract with Justin. That same season, he achieved the NFL single-season record of 10 50 yards or more field goals in a single campaign. At the end of the campaign, he was honored as a Pro Bowl player for the second time and as an all-pro player on the first team.
