Jon Stewart Bio/Wiki
The American stand-up comedian Stewart was born in New York on 28 November 1962 as the son of Marian Leibowitz and Donald Leibowitz. His mother worked first as a teacher and later as an educational consultant, while his father (a professor) worked as a lecturer in physics at Thomas Edison State College and the College of New Jersey.
Stewart grew up in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, where he and his older brother Lawrence Stuart attended the prestigious Lawrence High School. The names of his two younger brothers are Matthew and Dan. Eleven years after his arrival, his parents could no longer keep up with each other; this led to some cracks in their marriage. The couple then separated and split up. Stewart’s father was missing in his life after the divorce, which affected him greatly in his younger years.
Desperate over his father’s absence and the challenges that almost brought him to his knees, Jon put his last name aside and adopted his middle name, Stuart – in an attempt to distance himself from his estranged father.
He made his stand-up debut in 1987 at New York nightclub and coffee house The Bitter End, the club where Woody Allen (his great stand-up influence) also began. Stewart had already messed up himself and his ambition in 1986 at the Comedy Club Circuit after he did not want to go on stage because of the many people in the club.
Family – Wife, and Children,
Despite her husband’s popularity and fame in the entertainment industry, Philadelphia-born Tracey McShane has managed to stay out of the spotlight.
Although she is best known as Stewart’s wife, McShane is an animal rights activist and author by profession. Her love of animals began after she came into contact with Farm Sanctuary. She then wrote a book called Do Unto Animals: A Friendly Guide to Animal Life and How We Can Improve Their Lives.
Jon Stewart and then graphic designer Tracey met on a blind date arranged by a mutual friend. The perfect lovebirds began dating after the blind date. Four years later, in 1999, the comedian Tracey proposed marriage with the help of a crossword puzzle. Their wedding took place one year later.
Stewart’s wife (born August 6, 1967) gave birth to two lovely children. Their first child is Nathan Thomas Stewart, born July 3, 2004, and their daughter Maggie, born February 4, 2006.
It’s no news that celebrity marriages don’t last, but Stewart and Tracey’s marriage seems to be excellent, having lasted for over a decade. Interestingly, the lovebirds are vegans. Sometime in 2016, it was reported that the couple bought a farm in Hockhockson for a whopping $4 million. Stewart and his wife would turn the place into a sanctuary where the rescued animals and other animal-related items would be kept. They also plan to use part of the farm as an educational center where students will be taught about animals and how to care for them.
