The talented actress was born on August 30, 1987, in Atlanta, Georgia, as Johanna Elizabeth Braddy. Her mother Jo Beth worked as a music teacher and also as a singer. Her father Steve Braddy was an engineer. She grew up alongside her only sibling, a younger brother named Cole Braddy. The young Braddy completed her high school education in 2005 at McIntosh High School in Peachtree City, Georgia.
As a teenager, Braddy had her first chance at an acting career in the 2004 telefilm Pop Rocks, which was broadcast on ABC Family. In 2006, Brady starred in the music drama movie Broken Bridges.
