Jesse Wellens is an American YouTube sensation best known for his PrankvsPrank channel, where you can watch videos of him playing pranks on others. The channel was launched in 2009 and now has over 10 million subscribers. The Wellens Channel was named the best YouTube prank player in 2013 by USA Today. In 2015 it received the Streamy Award for Best Prank Show and the following year a Shorty Award for Best YouTube Ensemble.

Jesse Michael Wellens was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on September 25, 1982, the son of Stella and Steve Wellens. He is the middle child of the family with a brother and sister named Candice Wellens.
Wellens was one of the kids who loved to harass other kids at school. So he was thrown out of high school several times, but he made it to graduation. As frivolous as it may seem, Jesse served in the army… He was stationed in Korea for a year. During his time in the U.S. Army, Jesse was in a marriage that ended almost immediately after it began.
After his divorce, Jesse met Jennifer “Jeana” Smith through a mutual friend named Faith. They exchanged phone numbers but did not start a relationship until weeks later when they met by chance. They started dating in 2005.
Jesse and Jeana started a joint YouTube channel in 2009. It all started after Jesse posted a clip of Jeana trying the Cinnamon Challenge. This developed into a series of prank videos in which the two play pranks on each other and how they prepare their pranks.

Their sense of humor and originality attracted millions of subscribers and made them one of the most likable couples on YouTube. Soon they began to take on more gigs, such as when they both appeared in two episodes of the web series Epic Rap Battles of History.
In 2012, Jesse and Jeana launched another YouTube channel called BFvsGF, where they documented their daily life as a couple. Rocky, as he is also known, ventured into other areas, including music. In 2013 he released the rap song “Cookie Dance” under the name “Chip Chocolate”. The song found slight success and entered the charts in Great Britain and Sweden.
He also directed the YouTube channel Down Range Gaming, where he played video games and delighted fans with stories from his time in the US Army.
To the dismay of their fans, Jesse and Jeana broke off their relationship in May 2016, but the relationship was mutual as they agreed to remain friends. They had two cats, Nylah and Bamboo. Jesse now exclusively runs the PrankvsPrank channel while her BFvsGF was put on hold.
Among the rumors about their separation was that Jesse had cheated on a girl named Kristina Askerova, but this was never confirmed.
Mom – Stella Wellens
Jesse’s mother Stella Wellens died in December 2015, having suffered from depression for over a decade and allegedly abusing drugs while self-medicating. Stella was also suicidal and was put into a coma after an unsuccessful suicide attempt.
A few weeks before her death, Jesse’s mother had been declared missing. Jesse expressed fears that his mother might have become suicidal, as his grandmother had died only a few weeks earlier.
Jesse was right to be concerned… Local authorities would later find Stella’s body in her car parked in a business park. She was later laid to rest in December 2015.

The same week that Jesse announced his shocking breakup with his girlfriend, which lasted for over a decade, he also shocked fans with the news that he had had a baby that he had given up for adoption.
In a series of tweets, Jesse declared that he wanted her back. However, many speculated that this was just one of his usual pranks, but Jesse claimed that he meant it.
While many seemed to sympathize with him, others slapped him for revealing the information on social media. One user @Jessewelle wrote: “You need to take a step back and figure out your shit before you put it all on social media. You are an adult, act like one.”
Jesse deleted a lot of his tweets about the love child revelation but kept the one where he gave the name and age of the child. Her name is Luchia, and she will be 13 in 2016.
To reach her, Wellens moved to New York City, where Luchia lives with the parents who adopted her.
