Is Scott Anderson In Jail? 44-Year-Old Man Arrested For Series Bombing

Scott Anderson has been arrested in connection with the Fresno serial bombings. The 44-year-old was the mastermind behind several bombings in the Fresno area.

Fresno Police have arrested the suspect in the Fresno area serial bombings that began in December 2022.

Anderson was supposed to be arrested on February 23 but he fled to Southern California as the weather deteriorated. They alerted local authorities to keep an eye on Anderson who was on his way to a casino in Temecula.

The suspect was pulled over and taken into custody by Riverside County sheriff’s deputies on February 24 for a traffic violation.

Anderson was in the company of Frank Rocha who is also accused of possessing bomb-making materials. Officials searched the vehicle for any possible explosives.

Scott Anderson Jail- Fresno Serial Bomber Arrested

The Fresno Police Department has arrested Scott Anderson for the Fresno serial bombings that began in December of last year.

A 44-year-old Fresno man with ties to a white supremacist group was arrested in connection with the seven Fresno County bombings.

Anderson is accused of fabricating and deploying pipe bombs to detonate six vehicles since December 13 2022.

He planted six explosives inside and under vehicles in Fresno and the seventh in a mailbox.

According to Fresco Police Chief, the bombings became more sophisticated and daring over time.

One of the six vehicles was a vehicle from the county probation department. Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of the explosions.

Scott allegedly ignited a pipe bomb in the Fresno County Probation Department’s parking lot just after 3 a.m. on February 21 destroying the probation vehicle.

In a press conference, Fresno Police Chief Paco Balderrama stated that the skill level and frequency of the bombs increased over time.

He went on to say that four people connected to Anderson had been arrested on various charges.

Frank Rocha 56 was charged with having bomb-making materials and Steven Burkett 51 was charged with having a firearm and ammunition in his possession.

Similarly, Paul New 55 was charged with felony possession of an explosive device and felony possession of a firearm and ammunition and Amanda Sanders 41 was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine for sale.

Police are looking into whether they had any connection to or involvement in the Fresno series bombings.

Scott Anderson’s Charges After Arrest

Scott Anderson according to Fresno County District Attorney Lisa Smittcamp is facing several federal charges including using pipe bombs on vehicles and possessing illegal firearms.

The 44-year-old is charged with seven counts of causing property damage by detonating an explosive device.

Anderson is also charged with three counts of exploding a dangerous device one count of attempting to explode a dangerous device and possessing material to make a destructive device.

After serving search warrants in three locations authorities seized 11 illegal firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.

They also discovered $50000 in cash and nearly 90 grams of packaged methamphetamine that was ready for sale.

During the 44-year investigation old’s police also discovered Nazi-themed flags clothing cups signs banners and patches.

The motives for the bombings have not been identified and it is unclear whether Anderson’s affiliation with a white supremacist group played a role in the attacks.

It is unclear whether the motivation was a hate crime or racial prejudice.

The involvement of the other four people arrested also remains to be determined.
