The popular American chef was born in Ohio on November 9, 1982, and grew up in Springfield, Virginia. Her father is said to be an agricultural economist by profession, while her mother is an accountant. Christina Tosi is said to have spent a year at the University of Virginia studying electrical engineering. She later transferred to James Madison University where she graduated. After graduating, she moved to New York City and applied for a confectionery arts program at the French Culinary Institute.

Her Career
Christina Tosi was commissioned by David Chang, the owner of Momofuku Milk Bar, to develop safety regulations according to the instructions of the New York City Food Department. After writing a brilliant piece, Chang was satisfied with her work and decided to offer her a position as the head of the confectionery department at Momofuku Milk Bar. This was a huge opportunity for the chef, as the Momofuku restaurant group was a leading supplier of baked goods to various locations in the USA. The main bakery was located in New York City, which would include about 5 other retailers of the group. Other major cities with retail stores are Washington D.C., Las Vegas, Nevada, and Toronto in Canada.
With a flourishing career at Momofuku Group, Christina Tosi became known for her innovative baking skills and for transforming the group’s confectionery division.
