Erin Moran was born on 18 October 1960 in Burbank, California, as Erin Marie Moran. She was the second youngest of six children. Her parents were Sharon Moran and Edward Moran, who was a financial manager at the time.

In 1996, Erin Moran was cast in the 1966 television series “Darachi”, which ran until 1969. Erin Moran subsequently got several roles in series and movies until she got a role that eventually made her popular. She got the role of Joanie Cunningham in the popular American sitcom “Happy Days” in which she was the crazy sister of Richie Cunningham. At that time she was just 13 years old and also starred in a short-lived offshoot of the series called Joanie Loves Chachi. Erin Moran agreed, however, that she reluctantly agreed to take on the role in the spin-off series and still would like to be on “Happy Days”. She returned to “Happy Days” for the final season after the series Joanie Loves Chachi was canceled in 1983.
Erin Moran finally reached the peak of her career when she appeared in movies and had several other guest appearances on television, such as The Love Boat, Murder, She Wrote, and Diagnosis: Murder, and starred opposite Edward Albert in the sci-fi horror cult film Galaxy of Terror (1981). She also appeared in The Waltons.
In 2008, Erin Moran appeared as a contestant on VH1’s reality show Celebrity Fit Club. Two years later, she appeared in 2013 in the independent comedy film Not Another B Movie (2010). There were reports that she was to be reunited with Happy Days co-stars Henry Winkler, Ron Howard, and Scott Baio in the fourth season of “Arrested Development”, but that was just a dream as she did not appear in the reworked Netflix series.
Personal Life, Husband, Children, Family
Moran was the second youngest of her parents’ six children. She married Rocky Ferguson in 1987, but they divorced in 1993. Later that year, she married Steven Fleischmann. After her shows she moved from Los Angeles to the Californian mountains; Happy Days and Joanie Loves Chachi were canceled. In 1988 she said that she suffered from depression and was unable to get acting roles.

Also, her house in California was foreclosed in 2010. She confirmed the accuracy of this report and also mentioned that eviction papers had been served on her. Finally, she moved into her mother-in-law’s trailer in Indiana. This became a big issue for the Happy Days star when later in 2017 it also became known that she was allegedly evicted from her Indiana trailer because of her persistence.
Reports and interviews with close friends and family members revealed that she turned to drugs and alcohol after the show, which had given her much pleasure, was canceled. Erin Moran died at the age of 56 and she was survived by her husband Steve Fleischmann. Unfortunately, they did not have any children together.
