One thing that the great musicians now living from the grave have in common is that they are remembered with qualities that distinguish them. For Eddy Wally, it is difficult to remember his activities in the world of entertainment without thinking of his strikingly attractive and expensive outfits.
Although there is no way to prove this, it is believed that no Belgian celebrity has been able to wear such an extensive wardrobe as Eddy Wally. It is generally believed that Wally got his striking sense of dress from Wladziu, Valentino Liberace, the American pianist who died in 1987, and Elvis Presley. To get a better idea of what Wally’s wardrobe looked like, imagine one that was purchased by a museum (Fashion Museum Hasselt) and displayed with each of the 155 outfits it contained, worth over $5,000.

It is said that the collections range from old souvenirs and gifts he received to special clothes and instruments. The man has given the items a unique emotional value, and the city council is preserving them to honor his legacy.
The Belgian was not only famous as a musician, but also as a producer and actor. As an actor, he was admired for several roles. The most recent of these is the 2006 film Willy’s en market ten. Nevertheless, the Belgian singer achieved world fame with his megahit Cherie, released in 1965. In the first two months after the release of the song, he reached first place in the Belgian charts. It did not take long until the song became a world hit. At some point, Wally had to make a Chinese version of the song. It was called the Baobei.

Eddy Wally Biography – Family Background
Wally was born on 12 July 1932 to Eduard Van de Walle. At the time of his birth, he was just another male child born into an ordinary family in Zelzate in the De Katte district of Belgium. Soon it was quite obvious to everyone that the boy had one or two things to offer to the entertainment industry. Wardle”, as he was affectionately called at the time, was very reluctant to learn about the things his teachers taught. His only interest was to make music and entertain people. He loved everything about it.
As far as we know, Eddy Wally came from a family that had no choice but to fight for survival day after day. Like him, his father had a passion for music. But then he was distracted by the need to provide for his family and was forced to give up his passion. The man focused more on being a worker in a tar factory to fulfill the responsibility of being the sole breadwinner of the family. Apart from the fact that Wally’s mother was a sweet soul, not much is known about her – being a housewife was likely her priority. Eddy was an only son and the last of his parent’s three children. He had two older sisters.
The Van de Walle family was devastated when their breadwinner died at the age of 49. Poverty was very eager to make fun of them until Wally took over the responsibility of looking after his boys. Even though he was still a teenager, he looked for and found a job for himself in a textile factory. Although it was as if he carried the world on his shoulders, Eddy did not give up his love for entertaining people. It is said that during breaks in the factory he played guitar, sang, and danced for his employees.

This led to an engagement, and finally, the marriage between Maria and Wally began on July 19, 1956, and the following year, on June 25, 1957, the union was blessed with a daughter named Marina.
To get back to the basics: Eddy Wally’s marriage to Maria allowed him to devote more time to his calling. As the story goes, he left the textile factory and began selling leather goods in partnership with Maria’s mother. The business flourished and Maria often took on his responsibilities in the leather business, giving Wally the freedom to actively pursue a career in show business. It wasn’t long before Wally became a mega superstar and began to tour the world.

Cause of Death
It was sometime in 2010 that it first emerged that the great Belgian musician was troubled by unpleasant body sensations while he was performing in Ghent, Belgium. It was later reported that he suffered a stroke. Following this, he stayed in a nursing home for a while.
Although Wally survived the stroke, he, unfortunately, suffered its effect for quite a long time before he passed on. That was on the 6th day of February 2016. From what we learned he died from the physical consequences of a brain hemorrhage which was triggered by the stroke. Of course, his passing was a sad event for his fans across the globe. Nonetheless, Wally died a happy man.
