Devin Booker is not only popular as a professional basketball star, but also as a friend of Kylie Jenner’s best friend Jordyn Woods. Surprisingly, the duo began their relationship in July 2018, and Booker is currently associated with the Phoenix Suns of the NBA. Since being drafted in the first round of the NBA Draft 2015, Booker has been named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team in 2016. Devin Booker Bio, Ethnicity

Devin was born on October 13, 1996, as Devin Armani Booker in Grand Rapid, Michigan. The young man comes from Puerto Rico, has an American and Mexican ethnic background, and is an American citizen. Booker was considered the basics of the game by his father, Melvin Booker, who also played basketball for the University of Missouri College Basketball team.

Booker attended Grandville High School in Michigan and after his freshman season. He moved to Mississippi where he attended Moss Point High School, Mississippi. There he completed his high school career with the Moss basketball team. He won the Mississippi Player of the Year Award after averaging 22.8 points per game.

During his junior year in 2013, Booker was crowned Mississippi Gatorade Player of the Year and was named Best Player of the Year by the Sun Herald for his outstanding performance. In his senior year, he won the three-point shooting competition organized by Under Armor; the Shooting Star also achieved an overall average of 30.9 points per game this season. At the end of his high school career, Booker was awarded third place on the All-U.S. team and McDonald’s All-American team, while he was named MVP of the All-Star Game in South Mississippi.

He then played college basketball at the University of Kentucky. While playing for the Kentucky Wildcats, Booker earned the honor of the second all-SEC team, SEC All-Freshman, as well as SEC’s sixth man of the year after averaging 2.0 rebounds and 10 points per game in the 2014/15 season. After an impressive first season, Booker announced that he would give up the rest of his college career while declaring for the 2015 NBA Draft.

NBA Career

During the draft, Booker was selected by the Phoenix Suns as the 13th overall player. After signing his rookie contract, the star player joined the Suns in the NBA Summer League, where he made a strong impression with an average of 4.9 rebounds and 15.3 points per game.

With his first professional appearance for the Suns during the regular NBA season 2015/16, Booker made history as the first player of 18 years to appear in the league. During his rookie season, the Shooting Guard scored his high for the season with 21 points in a game against the Sacramento Kings in January 2016. He also became the youngest player to score a double in the NBA after LeBron James and others. At the end of his rookie season, Devin Booker made 2.5 rebounds and 13 points per game while being called to the NBA All-Rookie Team.

The following season, Booker improved his game significantly, averaging 3.2 rebounds and 22.1 points per game. Surprisingly, he had his best performance in March 2017, scoring 70 points in one game. He became one of the six players in NBA history and the youngest player to achieve such a feat in a season.

During the regular 2017/18 season, Devin Booker continued to make history in the NBA. He became the third-youngest player to earn at least 4,000 career points with others like LeBron James and Kevin Durant. Devin finished the season with an average of 4.5 rebounds and 24.9 points per game. He also took part in the NBA three-point shooting competition, where he triumphed over Tobias Harris and Klay Thompson to win the competition.

On July 7, 2018, Booker also renewed his contract with the Suns for five years worth $158 million.

As we explained earlier, Devin Booker was born as the son of Mexican-American sire Melvin Booker and Puerto Rican dam Veronica Gutierrez. His parents met a few years ago when his father played basketball for the University of Missouri basketball team. Devin has a stepsister named Mya and she suffers from a genetic chromosomal disorder called microdeletion syndrome.

In the meantime, Devin Booker has been so active both on and off the court. He had a relationship with Kylie Jenner’s best friend named Jordyn Woods. Apparently, Woods is not only famous as Kylie’s BFF, but also as an American model and social media sensation. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California in the United States, Woods became famous at a very young age when she started modeling at the Ford Modeling Agency. She has gained over 5 million followers on Instagram and several million on other social media platforms. Interestingly, Woods appeared in several episodes of the television series Life of Kylie, and she has a younger sister named Jodie.

The two met in early 2018. Their relationship saw the light of day when the amazing couple was spotted on a double date with Ben Simmons and Kendall Jenner.
