Following in the footsteps of her older brother, Candace Cameron-Bure threw herself into the entertainment industry and became famous after her starring role as D.J. Tanner in the TV family sitcom Full House, which she resumed as D.J. Tanner-Fuller in Fuller House.

Candace Cameron-Bure Bio (Age, Career)

The actress was born on April 6, 1976, in Panorama City, California, the daughter of a talent agent and sister of actor Kirk Cameron.

Her professional career began at the age of 11 when she got the role of D.J. Tanner at Full House. The successful series lasted eight seasons with 192 episodes and finally ended in 1995 when Candace maintained her position as a member of the cast for the entire duration.

While shooting the above series, Candace also starred in some television films, including No One Would Tell, She Cried No, NightScream, and Camp Cucamonga, and debuted on the big screen with the feature film Punchline. In 1990 she hosted the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards together with Dave Coulier and David Faustino, a role she resumed in 1994, becoming the first person to host the awards twice or more.

Candace Cameron-Bure was also a guest star in the television series Cybill and Boy Meets World and 1996, but after having three children, she took a break from television and film to devote herself to her family. However, she did not rest entirely on her laurels as she continued to appear in films and shows in the 2000s. She appeared as an interview partner on I Love the 80s and I Love the 80s Strikes Back and was co-host of 50 Cutest Child Stars: All Grown Up on the E! Network. In 2008, she also got roles in the TV series That’s So Raven, The Wager, and the TV movie Moonlight and Mistletoe for the Hallmark Channel. She later returned to mainstream acting with the television series Make It or Break It, which ended in 2012.

In 2015 Candace announced that she would resume her role as D.J. Tanner in the Netflix spinoff Fuller House in 2016, only this time her character would be renamed D.J. Tanner-Fuller. She also took part in Dancing with the Stars and finished second in the first week of the ranking.

Television is not her only strength, because Candace has three books in her name: Reshaping It All: Motivation for physical and mental fitness, Balancing It All: My story about juggling priorities and goals and how I dance through life: steps of courage and conviction. One of the books turned out to be a New York Times bestseller.

The actress married the Russian NHL hockey player Valeri Bure in 1996, and their relationship can be described as stable. They first met at a charity ice hockey game where she was introduced to him by her full house co-star Dave Coulier. The chemistry between them worked well, and soon they walked down the aisle on June 22, 1996. Their union is blessed with three children – a daughter Natasha born in 1998 and two sons Lev, born in 2000, and Maksim, born in 2002.

Candace is the daughter of Robert Cameron and Barbara Cameron. She has three siblings named Kirk (an actor), Melissa, and Bridgette Cameron.
