Bryce Dallas Howard was born in Los Angeles, California, and grew up in New York and Connecticut. Her parents are Ron Howard and Cheryl Alley Howard. She was born on March 2, 1981, and her father, Ron, is a well-known actor and film director in Hollywood, while her mother, Cheryl, is a writer.

She is the first child of the family and has three other younger siblings – twin sisters, Jocelyn and Paige, and a brother, Reed Howard. One would say that Bryce Howard’s talent in the entertainment industry comes from her father, who is from a line of actors and entertainers. So it’s no surprise that she caught the gene, although she was not groomed to follow the pattern.

Bryce Howard began her high school education at Greenwich Country Day School but did not graduate because she continued her education at Byram Hills High School and graduated in 1999. After high school, she transferred to the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University (NYU) and studied there for three years (instead of four) while taking classes at Stella Adler Studio of Acting.
She also participated in the recording of the Broadway musical A Tale of Two Cities. In her third year of study, she finally left NYU to concentrate on her career. She attended Performing Arts camp, Stagedoor Manor – with her acting colleague Natalie Portman, The Actors Center, New York, and the Steppenwolf Theatre Company school in Chicago.

Bryce Dallas Howard began her career as an actress by appearing in Broadway plays, but she received recognition for her role in the 2004 film The Village. That was her role in a breakout movie. Director M. Night Shyamalan, who directed the psychological thriller, saw her play on the Broadway stage in the 2003 play As You Like It.
After the successful interpretation of her role and the positive reviews she received, she earned another role in the fantasy thriller Lady in the Water in 2006. In the same year, she received her first nomination for the Golden Globe Award for the role in the film adaptation of As You Like It. She starred in Spider-Man 3 (2007), Terminator Salvation (2009), and Victoria (a vampire) in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010).
