Andreas Pereira is a Belgian-born Brazilian professional footballer who plays for the English premiership club Manchester United. The reserve player for Denzil Haroun, who was named player of the year in the 2014-15 season, has also spent some time in Spain, where he played for clubs such as Granada and Valencia in search of first-team football.
Andreas Pereira Bio
Pereira, whose full name is Andreas Hugo Hoelgebaum Pereira, was born in Duffel, Belgium, on January 1, 1996, to Brazilian parents. As the child of a former soccer player, Pereira was destined to play the beautiful game he started at a very young age. He first played for his home club Lommel United before moving to the Netherlands at the age of 9 to join the youth team of PSV Eindhoven.
Andreas Pereira played his way through the club’s youth teams and in 2011 he was part of the team that stole the show at the Manchester United Premier Cup, a Nike-sponsored global youth football tournament. Along with many other players on the team, he attracted the attention of the major English clubs, but it was Man Utd manager Sir Alex Ferguson who persuaded him and his parents to sign with the club.

The following year, after Pereira turned 16 and was now eligible for an international transfer, he officially joined the Red Devils, although he was unable to play for the team for several months due to complications with his international release. All the paperwork was finally cleared up in April 2012 so that he could play his first game for his new team in a U-18 league match on April 25, 2012. In his first full season with United, the 2012-13 season, Pereira was a fixture in the U-18 team with 20 appearances and five goals. His achievements earned him a spot on the reserve team, but most importantly, his first professional contract.

In the 2013-14 season, Andreas Pereira was used by the coaches of both the U-18 and U-21 teams. He also played in the first UEFA Youth League and the FA Youth Cup, where he showed some remarkable performances. It was now inevitable that the young Brazilian would make his first-team debut, which was in the second round of the League Cup in the 2014-15 season. A few months later, on March 15, 2015, he made his Premier League debut as a substitute in a match against Tottenham Hotspur. Shortly before the end of this season, Pereira was rewarded with a brand new contract and was voted Player of the Year 2014-15 under 21 in his club.
For the 2015-16 season, Pereira was loaned to Spanish club Granada to provide the much-needed first-team action. During the season he made 37 appearances and scored 5 goals. The next season he spent again on loan in Valencia, where he made a total of 29 appearances and scored only 1 goal. Now he is back with his mother team, where he is looking for a partnership with Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic to continue fighting for a place in the team.
Andreas Pereira Family and Parents
As vaguely discussed above, Andreas Pereira was born the son of Brazilian parents who lived in Belgium. According to some reports, his mother, Anaida Pereira, is Belgian and of German descent, but either way, not much is known about her, except that she now lives in Manchester to stay close to her boy.

On the other hand, his father, Marcos Antônio Pereira, born on April 2, 1975, is a retired professional footballer who spent most of his career in Belgium. He played for clubs like K.V. Mechelen, K. Sint-Truidense V.V., and Royal Antwerp. After having interrupted his playing career, he worked as an assistant coach for Overpeltse VV, the last team he played for before he hung up his boots.
In addition to his genes, Pereira has the choice of playing for either the Brazilian or the Belgian national team due to his parental background. At the time of writing this report, the player who played for both countries in his youth should have been given the opportunity to play for the Belgian senior national team but is waiting for an invitation from Brazil because that is where his heartbeats.
